I recently did a photo shoot at a small cabin in the mountains. Shooting a model in the snow can be really tricky when it comes to proper exposure. The super white and bright light that comes from the snow can trick your camera metering system, which would under expose the model. So shooting in manual mode is a must.
What I did for the session was to find the balance between the model and the snow. Then in post, I would pull down some of the highlights off the snow and then bring up some of the shadows on the models skin. Please enjoy the video and leave a comment down below to let me know what you think.
